About: I am a Reading Specialist at Washington Elementary School. I have been teaching for 14 years and have been teaching as a Reading Specialist here at Washington for the last 10 years.

Hobbies: In my free time, I enjoy writing, blogging, and going on adventures with my husband and three kids.

Fun Facts: I am a facilitator for a local group called Hope After Loss which provides support and raises awareness for pregnancy and infant loss. I have over 13 published writing pieces in this genre in various online magazines such as Her View From Home, Love What Matters, and The Epoch Times.


Michaela Smith

About: It’s my fourth year teaching 4th Grade at Washington School. My favorite subjects to teach are math and science!

Hobbies: I enjoy traveling, trying new foods, baking, playing soccer, watching movies, and attempting escape rooms across Connecticut.

Fun Facts: I have seen 3 shows on Broadway, I love all things Disney, and I participated in an a cappella group in college where I learned how to beatbox! I also have five cats with weather names including two kittens who were rescued in the spring named Rory (Aurora) and Bo (Borealis).
