This summer, West Haven Public Schools (WHPS) launched a new website with a new mobile app. The newly enhanced 'whschools.org' features a beautiful look with a user-friendly, responsive, and easy-to-navigate interface.
In addition to the new website, WHPS launched a new mobile app that is synced with the website. It is available to download on the Apple App Store (iPhone users) and Google Play (Android users) by searching for ‘West Haven Public Schools CT’. The mobile app makes it easy for users to access news stories, events, staff directories, and cafeteria menus. WHPS also recommends that students, parents, and staff turn on notifications for your respective schools. With notifications turned on, users will get pertinent information (i.e., school closures, delays, etc.) as soon as they are announced. To turn on notifications, open the app and click on Menu > Settings > Push Notifications.
It is important to note that the mobile app does not feature all pages that are hosted on ‘whschools.org’. The main purpose of the app is to provide the most up-to-date information at your fingertips. However, to access the full array of pages on the district’s website, you must visit ‘whschools.org’. WHPS also recommends adding ‘whschools.org’ to your phone’s home screen for easy mobile access.
